Pathways to Freedom 2007

The Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development Proudly presents its 19th annual flagship program, Pathways to Freedom 2007.

"Seeding Green Sprouts for the Next Generation"
(Thursday July 5th- Saturday August 4th, 2007)

This unique educational experience encourages student "freedom riders" to reach their highest potential through teaching life skills and promoting self-exploration. Under the annual theme " Where have we been, Where are we going?" students develop important life principles for which Mrs. Parks was renowned:

  • Dignity
  • Integrity
  • Strength of Character
  • Sound Judgment
  • "Quiet Strength"

Specially selected youth between the ages of 11-17 will focus on the following areas:

  • Promoting Mrs. Parks’ Legacy
  • Preparing the Next Generation for Community Activism
  • Protecting Voting Rights
  • Protecting the Environment

If you are a highly motivated student between the ages of 11-17 and you are interested in volunteering your time to better understand and advance the legacy of Rosa Parks, please send us an email to pathways@rosaparks.org.

Alternatively you can write to the address below including a self-stamped addressed envelope for more information and application details.
